For some purposes, you may prefer to own a copy of a dissertation or theses not otherwise available as open access. The following organizations offer methods for purchasing personal copies.
Some Ph. D. theses are available through UMI's Dissertation Express. Luther Seminary Library can purchase unbound copies from Dissertation Express at a discount. As of Fall 2012, the price for an unbound dissertation was $40.00.
Theological Research Exchange Network (TREN)
TREN is a commercial site that has theses/dissertations from 131 different institutions available for purchase. Some are available for immediate download as E-docs. The search function on this site can be difficult to use. Don't hesitate to contact us if you are having trouble finding your document.
