Check due dates, holds & fine information, renew items before they become overdue. Click on My Library Account in the library catalog. Click on the set/reset password link and enter your 14-digit barcode number. This will generate an email to you so that you can set your password.
Holds & Recalls
All borrowers may put a hold on an item directly through the library catalog. If you have any difficulties, call the circulation desk by phone: 651-641-3447 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Requested items are eligible for recall after 4 weeks (unless needed for course reserves). Recalled items must be returned promptly.
Library Use via U.S. Mail: If you are a Distributed Learner or Extension Borrower and live outside the 7 county metro area, we will mail items via the U.S. Postal Service. Contact the circulation desk (651-641-3447, or email@example.com). Items are mailed at book rate, postage reimbursement requested.
Non-Circulating Material: The following items may be used only within the library.
- Reference materials (identified by 'Ref.' after the call number)
- Journals & magazines (both current and bound back issues)
- Special Collections materials (identified by 'Vault' after the call number)
Returns: During library hours, items must be returned to the circulation desk. The book drop at the front door of Gullixson Hall is unlocked only when the library is closed.
Items may be renewed one time.
Lost Items: Report lost items to the library. Unless reported, fines will continue to accumulate. Borrowers are expected to pay for lost or damaged materials ($35 replacement charge plus a $10.00 service charge per item). If a lost item is then found and returned promptly, all but the service charge will be waived.
Suspension of Privileges: Borrowing privileges will be temporarily suspended in the event of overdue items, fines in excess of $5.00, or lost items. Borrowing privileges resume as soon as the account is cleared.
Consortium Schools (Bethel Seminary, St. Paul Seminary, United Theological Seminary): Consortium students may borrow materials either through InterLibrary Loan (request items from Luther through your own library) or In Person: Present a current student I.D. in order to check out material.

- Lutheran clergy residing anywhere in the United States.
- Pastor or church worker (not a volunteer) of any denomination/church body in the 7-county metro area.
If I don’t have borrowing privileges, can I still use the library?
Yes, you are welcome to use our resources here in the library and to take advantage of our reference services.
